I walked close to 200m like a wuss - lungs were on fiiiire.
Omar and I have been watching the CrossFit games via ESPN on Xbox Live and I’m all motivated (and jealous). I’m just a little over a month into exercising (ran my first mile since those Presidential fitness tests in middle school) and I’ve got a helluva way to go.
Not even rushing it, so it may take me forever, but damnit, I’m doing it.
I don’t know what was up with tumblr but I haven’t been able to log in the past couple days (I’d enter in my info and it’d redirect to the login page - hmph).
SO I DID IT.
I did my first FIGHT GONE BAD and scored 226 (not rxd but scaled appropriately judging by my complete exhaustion and disorientation afterward).
Today I did “Tosh” in 29:40. I was told that’s not too shabby for being brand new and being a self-proclaimed running hater.
I was sloppy with Paleo this month. I stayed within my 9 cheat meals but only technically seeing I got lazy lots of days.
What’s next?
Sticking to CrossFit - it’s too much fun and something I look forward to rather than classes I used to memorize and count down till it was over.
Of course I’m staying Paleo; it’s changed the way I view food forever. Probably moving towards a 80-85% position. Honestly, cheats not only make me feel guilty but physically shitty afterward so it’ll be self-limiting.Two months of 90% got my body conditioned to expect real food instead of junk. Butttt if I want to have a margarita or sweet tea more often, I feel like I can handle it without falling off the wagon.
From now on I’ll post my WODs so I can keep track of improvements and really good meals. Deal?

Paleo fried okra - just subbed cornmeal for almond flour and vegetable oil for olive oil. SO DAMN GOOD.

Ran a mile without stopping which is a huge deal for me. That’s the first mile I have ran in years! Unfit —> Fit, please!
